General Dynamics Information Technology designs, builds and integrates the first Marine Corps Enterprise IT Services (MCEITS) Datacenter, which supports the data processing requirements for the entire U.S. Marine Corps.The MCEITS center provides application hosting capabilities, enterprise shared services, access to enterprise-wide information, collaboration and information sharing across business and warfighter domains.

The MCEITS program provides the Marine Corps with a modernized IT-enabled capability for use in enterprise and expeditionary environments. This will include implementation of an IT infrastructure with application, service and data environments. Additionally, MCEITS will deliver an IT infrastructure that can quickly, easily and securely adapt to evolving software, hardware, data, services and management requirements while providing an enhanced enterprise visibility that facilitates greater reuse of IT assets.

The Systems Integration Environment (SIE) Operations Technician builds, configures, and maintains computer hardware, and storage infrastructure as required to support SIE core functions. Detailed knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems is required. The SIE Operations Technician must be familiar with the installation configuration and maintenance of Window, Unix, and Linux families of operating systems. The SIE will make extensive use of virtualization using VMware virtualization services. The SIE Operations Technician must be proficient in the build up and maintenance of physical servers, and the use of VMware to build up and maintain virtual servers and images. This position will support the preparation of SIE computing resources for application and service integration testing. The SIE Operations Technician must be able to independently execute required server preparations on schedule in accordance application documentation.

Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.

Requires the following MCPs 70-290, 70-291 70-293. Prefer MCSE.
Requires IAT level II certification (i.e. Security+).
Prefer VCAP or equivalent experience.
Prefer RHCT or equivalent experience.
Prefer F5-PCL or equivalent experience.
Prefer NCDA or equivalent experience.

Requires 8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.

Strong knowledge and understanding of federal government or DoD IT policies, theories, principles, practices, procedures, and workforce structure to develop, implement, maintain, and manage a secure.

Prefer DoD experience Data Center hosting background operating in an ITIL framework as follows:
