Data Centre Networks Architect – Systems Engineer recruitment

Candidate will be part of the Technology Management team under the Data Centre Networks Team. The Technology Management team is part of a functional area designed to enable the successful end-to-end management of our sourced services with out outsourcing partner CSC.
Your job will focus primarily in the Data Networking and security technology areas. The role sits in the Architecture and Technology Management team within the DCN organisation, which has overall responsibility for the Technology areas of Data, Voice, Secure Connectivity Multimedia Infrastructure within UBS acting as the primary owner of the architecture/roadmaps the interface between the key UBS Business functions and the network/telephony outsourcing vendor (CSC).
Your job will involve:
– Interacting with Business technology representatives and the CTO team to understand business objectives and what new solutions are required
– Keeping abreast of emerging technology and business process trends within the industry specific but not exclusive to these technology areas
– Own the Data Networking security technical architecture and engineering roadmap
– Supporting CSC in the Data Centre Transformation program
– Providing strong technical leadership in the area of Data Centre Networking and Cloud Computing
– Working with CSC CTO Engineering organization and provide technology direction and governance aligned to our clients needs
– Ensuring critical projects and technology initiatives are delivered by the CSC organization as per roadmaps architectural specifications
– Communicating technology direction and strategy to business units the rest of the IT organization
Requirements
Successful candidate for this position must have:
- Extensive experience in financial services companies in networking across a multitude of technologies
- Proven experience in managing large scale technical projects with virtual resources
- Technical expertise in the areas of IP Telephony/UC, Carrier Services, Trader Telephony Call Centre delivery technologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions
- Excellent communication and verbal skills, ability to drive critical objectives communicate to a wide audience for approval
