Data Project Manager
Excellent opportunity for an experienced project/program manager with strong business analysis skills and experience of working with index/benchmark data offered by one of the world’s premier asset management houses.
The role, will suit an experienced people manager with a strong team focus and experience of working across the full IT project lifecycle, together with strong knowledge of SQL and, ideally familiarity with Unix and/or Perl.
A data management background and experience of program management within an investment management environment are essential, together with knowledge of a range of investment products to include equities, derivatives or fixed income. The successful candidate will be committed to solving business problems through technology solutions and must demonstrate an enquiring mind and intellectual curiosity on addition to technical skills and knowledge. Working in a dynamic, rapidly expanding business unit, key responsibility will be to manage client and vendor relationships from a technical perspective , providing solutions to changes in business needs as driven by market events, product development and regulatory change and working closely with developers to design, test and roll out data and pricing related application and content upgrades. In order to maximise effectiveness in this highly visible role familiarity with index/benchmark data providers (FTSE, SP, Russell, etc..) and knowledge of index fund structures for fixed income and equities will complement the technical and data knowledge.
Applicants will demonstrate a strong academic record and a strong track record of managing change in a pressurised, deadline driven environment. Proven business process modelling skills and a strong technology bias are essential and the successful candidate will have exposure to multiple project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc..).
