Data Quality Analyst recruitment

Key responsibilities will include:
• Assume responsibility for all related data processing, cleansing and monitoring tasks.
• Support the data manager
• Liaise with other colleagues and departments around the Bank involved in data input and maintenance to ensure progress is being made on current Data Quality (DQ) issues, and to identify new issues.
• Maintain the bank-wide Data Quality Policy and Data Quality Strategy.
• Undertake analysis, data manipulation and consultation to progress data cleansing projects.
• Assess the importance of data based on its usage within the Bank and prioritise DQ issues accordingly.
• Create and maintain data quality rules as a basis for manual and automated data quality checks.
• Apply existing data quality rules in order to identify incorrect data input.
• Analyse incorrect data, identify cause and impact, raise as data quality issues and help progress to completion
• Circulate errors to Data Stewards in Front Offices for correction.
• Encourage data ownership by the Front Office and ensure oversight is applied where necessary
• Track and monitor data cleansing progress on identified issues
• Coordinate data cleansing activities and monitor timely correction of errors
• Prepare, coordinate and monitor bulk updates of corrections
• Report progress regarding data cleansing and data quality issues to the Data Quality Manager and the DCT
• Develop preventative measures in conjunction with other teams involved in systems development to avoid recurrence of incorrect data
• Keep up to date with Industry Best Practices regarding Data Quality Management
• Update and maintain data flow diagrams from the front end systems through the Data Warehouse into end user reports
To apply for this position, you will have previous Customer Data Quality and Data Cleansing experience; Excellent static data analysis; mapping and manipulation skills; Excellent overall IT skills including Excel and Access; Banking or financial experience; Practical experience with MIS systems and relational databases, preferably banking related. Good business analysis skills or project management experience a distinct advantage and the ability to lead discussion and to work with other staff externally.
