Database Administration Sr. Advisor - 1200087M Evaluates new database technologies and tools, sets database system and programming standards, applies database technology to business problems and manages the development and production database environments with emphasis on security, availability and performance. Provides database services in complinace with all audit and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate must be experienced in the management of Oracle E-Business 11.5.10.2 including installation, upgrade, patching, cloning, backup and recovery, monitoring, tuning, security, and definition of procedures for custom development. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of the entire Oracle E-Business Technology stack from client machine to database server and storage understanding where potential performance problems may exist and how to identify / resolve them. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker / problem solver capable of working alone or as part of a team as the need arises to resolve issues ? performance, functionality, etc. Fundamental, physical DBA skills in a very large database environment are a must including ? database tuning, query tuning, table partitioning, indexing, table load strategies, backup / recovery. Willingness to support Oracle databases and other technologies outside the E-Business environment as necessary based upon project demands is a must. Willingness to participate in the day to day management work related to the Oracle environment with a focus on automation, documentation, consistency, and repeatability is a must. Qualifications Oracle Database Administration (3 - 6 years). Oracle E-Business 11.5.10.2 Oracle Application Server / WebLogic Application Server 11gR2 RAC Administration (min 1 year). RMAN (min 1 year). SQL Performance Tuning (min 1 year). Oracle on Linux (min 1 year). Prefer Netbackup Experience Proven skills in troubleshooting performance in a distributed architecture. Solid Linux Shell Scripting knowledge. Solid communication skills. Ability to work independently or part of a team. Application Server Technology - Weblogic.
