Hospedia Ltd are currently recruiting for a Database Administrator (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL Server, Linux, Debian) to work in their Head Office in Slough, Berkshire, South East, UK.

Hospedia is the world's leading provider of point of care systems in healthcare, including media, information, clinical support software and infrastructure services.
In this role the Database Administrator (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL Server, Linux, Debian) will be required to:
- Conduct DBA checks and monitor and manage the database resources.
- Provide ad-hoc Support for the UK Support Desk within defined SLA's.
- Assist with query and report writing

The Database Administrator (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL Server, Linux, Debian) will also be maintaining and improving Database Server Backups Restore procedures as well as doing regular testing of disaster recovery procedures.

In order to perform these duties the successful Database Administrator (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL Server, Linux, Debian) will have production DBA experience with MS SQL Server (SQL Server) and any experience of investigating issues in OLTP environments.

It is essential for the Database Administrator (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL Server, Linux, Debian) to have a good understanding of MS SQL Server and any candidates with an understanding of Linux (Debian preferred) would be at an advantage.

The ideal Database Administrator (DBA, Database Administrator, SQL Server, Linux, Debian) candidate will be looking to build a career in systems administration, and with this an evidence lead approach to troubleshooting. Willingness to transition to an Open Source System is also expected.
