Database Administrator | Parramatta based | Immediate start
There are 2 vacancies in this government department and selected contractors will be trained in the use of a specific product that is designed for the efficient and effective management, analysis, and reporting of sampling data.
This training will be provided as a precursor to the output over twelve weeks (end June 30) of project specific data being cleansed and transferred from spreadsheets into the corporate database.
Specific tasks for the project are;
- Understanding of the requirements and functionalities of the existing infrastructure.
- Understanding the data sources, requirements and results
- Creating the software’s measuring programs, project examples and settings for all existing data
- Utilising the existing software tools, documenting and preparing as much data import files as possible within the time available
- Notifying the system owners and developers where the existing and proposed systems do not align with the data that needs to be loaded
There will be two positions, a leading contractor and a support contractor. Both positions will be located in Parramatta
To be successful in this role, the successful candidate will need;
- Ability to learn and understand database technology
- Ability to understand project based data collection,
- Ability to understand biological data
- Ability to understand, prioritise and schedule data loading operations,
- Ability to communicate with interested stakeholders in the projects
- Ability to design and implement reports from all stakeholders requirements
- Understanding and previous experience with MSSQL databases
- Experience with other citrix platform applications, particularly citrix 6 environments
