Database Developer responsible for working as part of a team to develop and maintain database systems.
Skills:
Required knowledge of T-SQL, XML, and relational databases
Required knowledge of views, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers
Preferred knowledge of C# and .NET object-oriented programming
The ability to prioritize workload, complete tasks with minimal supervision, and perform under pressure
Experience:
Working with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, Management Studio, SSIS, and SSRS
Building database diagrams and writing ad-hoc queries
Designing maintenance plans for backups and transaction logs
Optimizing stored procedures for speed and performance
Tasks:
Maintain existing database systems and assist in the development of new database systems
Monitor server traffic and identify any existing or potential issues and help to prevent or fix them
Design stored procedures to be accessed by applications of all scopes designed by other software developers while maintaining permissions and security
Work as part of a team to accomplish objectives
Communicate effectively and maintain honest and open communication with management
