Sr Specialist – AP Needle Operator

Perform a series of semi-skilled but sometimes repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. Must have ability to do machine set-ups and adjustments and solve routine operating problems. Requires ability to understand and verify specifications and evaluate product quality to exacting standards.

Job Function:  Perform a variety of repetitive, skilled manual operations to exacting standards.  Set up needle auto process machines, perform changeovers and adjustments and solve routine operating problems.  Requires ability to understand product specifications and documentation with strict adherence to SOP's and GMP's.  Verify product quality and verify applicable records. 

Tools / Machines / Equipment Used:  Microscope, comparator, tweezers, open end wrenches, scale, pinch shear tools, curving button, flat press tool, channel punch, pinch form tool, digital micrometer 0"-1", 6" vernier caliper, AutoProcess needle Machine, grinding wheel, gages, radius bi-curve overlays, micrometer, hex wrenches, caliper, taper press.  Use of electronic data collection system (IQS).

Work Schedule:  3rd shift, Sunday night - Thursday night  11:00PM-7:00AM;  Training on 1st shift  Monday-Friday  7:00AM-3:00PM (minimum of 6 months)

Minimum Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years trade school

Minimum Experience Requirements: Seven (7) or more years of experience in machine set-up and troubleshooting with AutoProcess Machinery (working with tooling die sets, tight tolerances, cams, linkage, drive chains and clutch motors).  Ability to use precise measuring instruments, read and understand blue prints and specifications.  Ability to perform set-ups independently and solve routine problems. 

Alternative Requirements:  Four (4) years of experience can substitue for two (2) years of trade school.
