For nearly 50 years, RHF has developed, provided and managed housing and services for older adults, low-income families, and persons with disabilities throughout the United States, including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands.
There is an immediate opening at the Corporate Office in Long Beach, CA for a Database Systems Administrator / Analyst for the company’s existing and new Microsoft SQL Server implementations which supports the portfolio of applications. ITSMGMT@rhf.org
DUTIES:
· Microsoft SQL Server software installation, maintenance and conversions (e.g. to SQL
Server 2005 / 2008).
· Analyze, review, evaluate, and maintain multiple databases in development and production environments to support enterprise level applications;
o Top level contributor for working with project teams on all aspects of database implementations, updates, and daily administration activities;
o Develop SQL processes for data loading, migration and application interfaces;
o Participate in the planning and implementation of backup and recovery strategies;
o Perform security configuration, administration, analysis and reporting;
o Analyze, develop and enforce organizational SQL standards and best practices;
o Maintain database documentation and schematics.
· Key participant in the change management process by ensuring all production changes are fully tested, approved, and implemented accurately to maintain database and associated business application uptime requirements.
· Provide Level 2 and 3 Support for databases used by existing applications and develops process to resolve user requests for various business applications.
· Facilitate enterprise management reporting by performing analysis, development, and generation of reports utilizing Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
· Communicate with the business community, internal and external, in a highly professional manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Degrees and diplomas:
Undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Certificates, licenses:
Database Administration designation - MCDBA, MCTS, MCITP or equivalent preferred
Experience:
3+ years current experience in Windows environment with SQL database systems
3+ years current experience in database analysis/administration of Microsoft SQL Servers
2+ years experience in database programming using stored procedures
2+ years experience with Crystal Reports writing
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
Experience with MS SharePoint and .NET Technologies
