As a Deal Desk Specialist, the first priority will be to moderate volumes of email and phone inquiries providing guidance on pricing, contract processes and the proper structure of deals.
· Will represent Operations and Sales internally while collaborating with many cross-functional teams including Sales Leadership, Legal, Business Operations, Analytics, Product and Marketing.
· Influence problem solving at an individual rep level and therein train reps to better help themselves.
· Will respond in a timely, courteous, and effective manner to a multitude of email and phone inquiries from a variety of sales professionals with mixed levels of experience.
· Will work closely with the Business Operations Analyst to perform pricing analysis and will work with Sales to help ensure strong price integrity
· Is responsible for reviewing all customer contracts / insertion orders prior to or post signature to ensure a match exists in Salesforce.com
· Will be responsible for helping maintain pricing above the floor set by Sales and Executive Leadership
· May be required to work a varied schedule to accommodate various time zones
· Additional responsibilities will be to identify areas where the Deal Desk Specialist can add value or improve our sales and operations processes to support the sales force, enhance its effectiveness and drive improvements throughout the sales cycle.
· Participate in and in some cases lead projects related to sales process in conjunction with the Knowledge Content Management tea, Training Specialist and Business Systems Manager in Operations.
While the role isn’t technical all the time, this person needs to have a deep technical aptitude and a solid understanding of the digital advertising industry and how to communicate effectively, including helping others do the same.
· The Specialist must possess a basic to intermediate understanding of the suite of products and services and
· Must have experience working with sales organizations
· Must have worked with CRMs, especially salesforce.com
· Excellent with time management and organization
· BA/BS degree with a strong academic record
· Analytical, strategic thinker with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex problems amicably
· Self-directed learner, takes initiative, follows through, meets commitments
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented with the innate ability to manage competing priorities
· Work well independently with minimal formal training and supervision in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
The operations team at interclick touches many areas of the business so it will be important for this person to enjoy a fast pace and who can work cross functionally. Along with training expertise, this individual needs to have a leadership drive.
· Must be able to communicate professionally and be comfortable with persistent follow up with internal and external contacts
· Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to own and maintain end-to-end projects.
· Will be a constant "role model" of building strong working relationships with our sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
· Needs to combine sound business judgment and planning to anticipate bottlenecks with problem-solving, communication and analytical skills.
· Will be expected to identify improvement opportunities and to help management make it happen
· Embraces change and have the ability to identify when training materials or structure should be altered for efficiency and retention
