Asset Management

DeAM Global Client Services – Americas Head- Director

Head of a Harborside - Jersey City, NJ based Client Service team supporting all business lines in Deutsche Asset Management

Responsibilities Include:
• Build and manage several teams of approximately thirty professionals in support of Business Development, Client On-boarding, Agreements Management and AML/KYC/KYI
• Support all four DeAM Business lines - DB Advisors, DWS, DIAM RREEF [inkling Alternatives] across all three major geographic locations – Americas, Europe Asia Pacific
• Work closely with a similar team in our Frankfurt location that supports the Europe and Asia regions
• Work with distribution heads to provide comprehensive support of Relationship Managers and their clients
• Develop customer service strategies with the goal of optimizing customer satisfaction
• Create a customer centric service model that clearly outlines accountability and ownership
• Drive and prioritize strategic initiatives with the greatest impact to client service and support
• Develop metrics to assess client impact as it’s relates to the division overall strategy
• Assist employees in all areas of the division in remaining focused on driving customer service via frequent communication at all levels
• Develop creative and innovative solutions to address customer service challenges
• Help to globalize similar resources, processes and technology solutions across the DeAM platform

Skills Required:
• Minimum of ten years experience in financial services
• Previous Asset management experience – knowledge of Retail, Institutional, Insurance and Real Estate buy side experience is highly desirable
• Experience in distribution related activities is required
• Proven ability to lead and inspire others to provide outstanding service, build client loyalty and support the business lines’ distribution efforts
• Demonstrated ability to develop leadership and management skills in advancing employees at all levels by utilizing the appropriate performance management objectives, feedback and recognition
• Superior communication skills – both verbal written required to interface with Senior Management and Relationship Managers to influence, build consensus and gain acceptance of new solutions
• Ability to influence at all levels, to be viewed as a leader who is accountable for results
• Skilled management capabilities – ability to manage several large teams and projects simultaneously
• Thorough understanding of multiple job processes and an understanding of regulatory requirements
• Strong work ethic, commitment to excel; proven ability to work effectively with minimum supervision, under tight deadlines in a fast paced work environment
• Knowledge of RFPs/RFIs/DDQs, Third Party Consultant Databases, Client On-boarding, Legal agreements and AML requirements
• Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple responsibilities
• International experience a plus
• BA/BS required; advanced degrees and certifications preferred
