Debt Capital Markets- Liability Management recruitment

UBS IB is indisputably the top debt capital house in the world, bringing innovation to corporate, institutional and sovereign clients across global financing markets. Within the debt capital markets area there exist a series of specialist product groups one of which includes Liability Management. The focus of the Liability Management Group is to provide advisory services in relation to debt buybacks, debt exchanges and debt covenant/term modifications (consent solicitations) across all types of debt products (securitisations, covered bonds, senior debt, subordinated debt, and hybrid capital).

This role is mainly responsible for operating within the Liability Management team and supporting the business origination and execution effort. You will be given to the opportunity to work alongside multiple teams within UBS including Investment Bank / MA coverage teams, Debt Capital Markets, and Sales Trading. You will be taking ownership of precedent tracking, informing coverage teams of key transactions, presentations material, and reviewing transaction documentation. This will involve helping to structure and execute transactions, data gathering, analysis and material preparation (including supporting senior relationship managers in origination activities (e.g. preparing pitch books or modelling potential deals)), as well as taking responsibility for managing standard processes such as preparing introductory deal documentation. Ultimately, you will be expected to manage existing / on-going projects from pitching, structuring, execution and closing. You will need to keep colleagues informed of developments and be able to work collaboratively. You will also have the opportunity to support less experienced staff by providing market, product and deal knowledge; act as a source of up-to-date technical skills for colleagues within assigned area; and contribute to financial models.

You are…

• A graduate with an minimum of an undergraduate degree

• An associate director with at least 1-2yrs experience (preference towards DCM prior experience)

• FSA certified (or able to acquire the appropriate authorisation quickly upon joining the team)

• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
