As a visionary marketer you will lead by establishing Dell as a credible and significant player in the networking segment collaboratively culminating in a networking storyline focused not only on Dells networking prowess, but also highlighting Dells broader enterprise message of open, integrated virtual stacks for the data center. Effectively marketing these technologies requires a skilled approach to traditional marketing, social network marketing and emerging approaches to message delivery. Are you ready for the challenge?
Principal Accountabilities
- Delivers integrated marketing plans that meet segment financial goals, align with vertical initiatives, and capitalize on market trends and opportunities within the networking datacenter
- Responsible for assessing market trends, quantifying opportunities, and developing programs to meet the growing needs of the solution and segments.
- Utilizes 3rd party customer data and direct customer interaction information to provide feedback to the product group and messaging team.
- Owns the development and execution of the go-to-market plans to support specific segment growth initiatives.
- Drives and executes an integrated marketing plan to support the PL.
- Develops content and programs that achieve sales demand through print and electronic collateral, sales training, customer research and customer briefings.
- Serves as subject matter expert on networking industry trends, customer buying behavior, pain points, competitors, and vertical market opportunities.
- Works with Corporate Communications team to increase visibility, education and awareness to key industry audiences through use of press releases, case studies, press briefings, featured stories, speaking opportunities and analyst briefings.
- Utilizes standard campaign methodology and metrics to track marketing/sales efforts and drive program results throughout quarter/year.
- Provides sales team with marketing roadmaps and training
- Understands impact of emerging business trends and their implications for Dell and its customers.
Successful candidates will be local to Round Rock, TX or San Jose, CA areas.
Qualifications
7+ years of Data Communication/Networking industry experience
Understanding of IP Networks and Configurations (L2 (Ethernet), L3 (IP) technologies)
Demonstrated ability to do detailed competitive analysis
Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, field sales and all levels within an organization from individual contributors to Sr. Executives.
Must be able to articulate technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences
Must have strong technical acumen and marketing experience
Advanced ability to lead the creation, execution and measurement of a successful marketing campaign.
Advanced ability to negotiate co-marketing plans and budgets.
Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally on occasion
Education:
Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in a technical field in Computer Science
Certifications/Accreditations: CCIE or equivalent highly desired
