Key Accountabilities:
- Provides product managers with item exception reports, priority alrerts, sales and trend analysis, and coordinates input of their recommended adjustments.
- Contact person for all departments on forecast related issues.
- Coordinates input of special forecasting information required for new and discontinuing products.
- Participates in and supports the Global Cable Management Business Manager in conducting monthly demand/supply review meeting between sales, marketing, planning and executives (e.g. creates reports and writes meeting recap).
- Supports SOP meeting with sales, marketing, and operations to review the previous months business and any possible future issues.
- Develops formal training plan for users of DS-FM modeule. Responsible for training all internal and external employees involved in the forecast process as well as new hires.
- Insures all forecasting processess and methods are followed, documented and updated as needed.
- Provides supply chain managers input regarding system generated safety stock levels.
- Regularly analyze the corporate and channel sales forecasts. Compare the actual forecast with the sales budget and prior year performance.
- Create and maintain customized dashboards running from DS-FM data for marketing, sales, and planning personnel usage.
- Review and manage statistical model exceptions, automate forecast/budget variance and accuracy reports.
- Coordinate with marketing product line managers and sales to ensure demand consensus input accuracy.
- Responsible for the monthly aggregated forecast update in DS-FM. Presents aggregated forecast to Global Cable Mangement Business Manager for purposes of delivery to the Forecast Consensus Review Meeting members.
- Regularly analyzes forecasting processes and suggests process improvement ideas to the Global Cable Managment Business Manager.
- Factor into system and incorporate internal and external intelligence to the forecast, such as future promotions, price changes, and competitive activity.
- Integrate demand data with inventory and supply data. Support the preparation of Sales and Operation Planning presentations.
- Provide analysis and maintain system records related to product classifications and safety stocks in support of delivery and inventory objectives.
- Provide analysis related to delivery performance, inventory, VMI, system master data, or other duties as directed by the Supply Chain Manager.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Mathematics/Statistics.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales forecasting/modeling or inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Forecast Management software proficiency. Demand Solutions preferred.
- Creation and understanding of forecasting algorithms.
- Proven success in handling key customer issues.
- Strategic thinker who possesses outstanding judgment and organizational skills.
- Good business presentation and writing skills.
- Proven interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
- Project management experience.
- SAP experience preferred.
