Overview:
Agfa HealthCare Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Deployment Specialist.
The Deployment Specialist position is responsible to install, configure, test and upgrade the full line of Agfa HealthCare solutions using a combination of on site work, remote work and delegation to local field service employees. They are the technical experts responsible for maintaining technical skills, learning new products, developing new services, technical documentation and advising management on product or service related issues. They ensure FDA, Health Canada, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 compliance through the identification of requirements and completion of required documents. They assist and advise the Project Manager in building and defining the Work Break Down Structure and schedule development as it relates to technical tasks. They serve as the Configuration Manager and Change Manager for the customer during the entire project lifecycle. They are responsible for opening, tracking and driving resolution for any incidents or problems that develop as it relates to assigned projects.

Responsibilities:
- Perform Major Version Upgrades of Agfa HealthCare Products
- Installation and testing of new customers, services or configurations
- Project Planning and technical subject mater expert. Lead role in planning and coordination of all technical aspects of projects
- Timely and detailed feedback on technology performance, reliability, serviceability, service quality and design issues
- Training – update underlying technology knowledge and receive product training from RD
- Documentation – Develop and design site diagrams, procedures, test plans, and other required project or service related documents
Qualifications:
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting distributed applications
- Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 knowledge / performance settings of IIS
- Experience with .NET Framework
- Strong understanding of Load balancer configuration and support
- LDAP experience - Knowledge of active directory
- Proficient with UNIX, LINUX and Windows operating systems
- Expert knowledge of deploying and supporting X86 and Sun (SPARC) servers.
- A demonstrated understanding of relational databases both Oracle 10 and MSSQL 2005/2008
- Software protocol experience with embedded Java, HTML, xml, ftp, tcp, etc.
- Basic to Advanced networking knowledge
- Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN and NAS) such as EMC, NetApp, StorageTek etc.
- Experience administering computer systems in multi-platform environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Team Player with the ability to work and interact with virtual teams.
- Must be eligible to travel within Canada and the US
- Must be eligible to apply for customer initiated security clearances such as the US National Agency Check (NAC)
Nice to have
- Exposure to Radiology department workflow
- Proficient in the DICOM, HL7 and IHE domain and the PACS application
- Knowledge of Programming Languages VB/ASP, VB.NET, HTML, XML - is a plus
- Experience in RIS/PACS applications, medical imaging and workflows would be an asset
Education
BA/BS degree: MIS or Computer Science Preferred or relevant experience
MCSE windows 2008 credentials or at least equivalent experience
Experience
4-6 years experience with associated IT technologies
2+ working with medical devices
Field Employee with up to 80% travel required to perform work and meet with clients and other stake holders. Occasional evening and up to 25% weekend activities may be required to meet project deliverables
