The Relationship Manager (RM) interfaces with Depositary Receipts (DR) clients and prospects on a regular basis. The RM works in partnership with all of J.P. Morgan's businesses and with the DR Sales. Advisory, DRX, Client Services, and Operations teams.
Typically, the RM deals with Investor Relations Manager/officers, Company Secretaries and Shareholder Services Managers on a daytoday basis as well as contact with senior officers such as CEOs and CFOs. Goal is to build strong and meaningful relationships with our clients and prospects.

RoleThe role of the RM begins with ensuring client satisfaction with our services and products through a proactive approach which anticipates client needs, and extends to contributing to the generation of new business by supporting the ADR group's sales teams and by facilitating cross-selling with other J.P.
Morgan products and services where appropriate.
Key responsibilitiesEstablish the client and sales plans (an annual plan should be established and reviewed quarterly for progress)Develop solutions to address each client's concerns, needs, and/or goalsAnticipate implications of client's corporate transactions and coordinate with the DR transaction team and client servicing teams to manage corporate actions and transactions (MA transactions, capital restructurings, equity offerings, AGMs/EGMs, dividend distributions, rights offerings)Work with Advisory Services to provide appropriate Investor Relations support to the client by regularly monitoring the DR program (e.g. monitoring the number of DRs outstanding, DR ratio, trading volumes, price, issuance and cancellation volumes, largest holders, etc.) and by providing adequate and insightful information and feedback.
Participate in Product Development efforts by gathering and transmitting client needs and competition information to the Product Team and senior management as requiredOrganize ongoing client training in a proactive manner (e.g. training on the DR market, Investor Relations, SEC Regulation, U.S. equities market practice, and J.P. Morgan products such as adr.com, stock purchase and option plans). Help drive and support local events and roundtables.
Work with Sales to build and expand relationships with prospects as a function of over-all sales effort. Support our sales efforts by assisting in the production of sales materials and reporting.Coordinate with Advisory Services and Sales to secure support and goodwill of third parties (NYSE, NASDAQ, specialist firms, legal counsel, investment banks, retail brokers, and Investor Relations firms)Coordinate coverage and product offering with the Investment Banker and other product or client executivesRegularly ask/check client's objectives, priorities, feedback on our services
