Our client is a well-established international wholesale bank with core business in Retail, Corporate Investment Banking, Global Markets and Wealth Management. Due to the firm's continued commitment to growth in the region and best practices, they are looking for an experienced auditor to join their Hong Kong audit team with a focus on regulatory assurance reviews.
Reporting to the HK Head of Audit you will be helping plan the strategic audit plan before leading firm wide audits to ensure business lines and relevant supporting functions are in compliance with both internal and external policies, laws and regulations. Working across multiple lines of business with specific focus in Global Markets, you will engage in regulatory audit reviews to proactively identify, measure and monitor compliance and operational risk issues. You will perform independent assessment on internal control environment, providing assurance to management as well as working with the business units to resolve issues for improvement.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A bachelor degree with at least 8-10 years + of Internal Audit / Operational Risk experience
- Sound knowledge of banking products and HKMA SFC regulations.
- Hands on experience in leading Bank wide reviews.
- Analytical thinking with a strong control sense and judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
