Job Description:

The West Coast Regional Sales Project Coordinator will play an instrumental role in developing the company’s specialty product commercial interests throughout the Western region by managing the connection between our customers and the company; reporting directly to Human Nutrition Team Leader.. A successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to listen, innovate, consult and build trust-based relationships in order to ensure our customers/partners are satisfied in a way that develops into sustainable and profitable business for the company. The successful candidate must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills. The Territory which this person will cover is WA, OR, ID, NV, UT, CA, and AZ.  

 

Candidates who have 5+ years outside sales experience, B2B experience selling specialty ingredients or food related products, and strong knowledge of Human Nutrition markets required.  Demonstrated formulation knowledge, residing in the region and strong knowledge of the customer base in the region are strongly preferred.

 

Main Responsibilities:

·          Gathering and analyzing customer needs and interests; building strong business relationships and providing sustainable solutions to our customer’s and partner’s challenges.

·          Providing customers with clear and easy to understand information pertaining to all of our high quality products, application solutions and services.

·          Negotiating, following up and delivering on business development opportunities to ensure that potential customers and partners have enough information to make an informed decision about the company’s complete offerings.

·          Successfully communicating the company’s commitment to developing innovative solutions and passion for the industries we serve, especially in the Human Nutrition sector.

·          Maintaining open lines of communication with internal staff to convey a timely understanding of customer needs and market trends; facilitating the development of next generation products and services.

·          Completing other important sales tasks such as budgeting, forecasting; and administrative duties associated with the effective implementation of the Sales Division’s strategy within the region.

 

Qualifications

·          BS/BA degree in a technical, science  or business field

o         MBA degree, marketing experience and/or general business and commercial acumen preferred.

·          Minimum of 5+ years experience in territory sales, with experience in technical development selling.  

·          Experience with key account management and negotiations preferred.

·          Demonstrated aptitude in science and math disciplines.

·          Demonstrated ability to develop and/or manage multiple projects effectively.

·          Demonstrated ability to learn, assimilate and apply complex technical information quickly.

·          Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.

·          Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint).

·          Local customer knowledge and contacts preferred
