A leading player in the trade finance space is looking to add a new head to help run their highly regarded Structured Trade finance team. This very senior position would be responsible for a small team within the bank?s Trade Finance team out of Amsterdam. The position would include Global coverage, however with a strong focus on the Russian markets. Therefore Russian language is vital. This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for any senior professional to move into a great bank within Trade Finance.
Candidates wishing to apply must have:
• Spoken and Written fluent Russian
• A long and successful career within transactional banking ( Structured Trade finance and Trade Finance )
• Experience covering Russia - with a strong track record
• Generate Structured Trade Commodity Finance transactions, directly from trading companies and producers
• Present and defend transactions in the Credit Committee (CC)
• Ensure that transactions generated are potentially saleable -insurable to keep the existing book liquid
• Cross sell the bank?s Treasury?s products to borrowers-counterparties
• Provide contribution to the strategy for the future of her-his own field of work and for the organization of the team
• Ideally have a background within an international bank
• Generalist experience across all commodities and products.
• 7+ Years of relevant experience
• Key skills set is to be a proven deal originator with a strong understanding of trade finance and network of clients in CIS
Specific job responsibilities
• Origination of short-term structured commodity transactions from Russian (but also other CIS-based) commodity producers
• Emphasis is on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, fertilisers and coal
• To further develop limited recourse pre-payment facilities in cooperation with large international traders
• Originate new trade business with producers and clients in Russia
