Full Job Description

Unique and rare opportunity for an Associate VP or VP of syndications to join the EMEA syndicate desk in London covering a diverse range of products across loans, trade finance, acquisition, trade and project finance and corporate lending. Immediate hire due to a very busy team with many deals to syndicate.

The Role:
• Team?s remit from London covers Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA"), Asia-Pacific and Australia ("APAC"), North America and Latin America.
• This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop finance syndication and secondary market experience in a banking environment, and also provides direct access to treasury, leveraged, project and structured products and trade finance.
• Position reports directly to the Head of the EMEA team, and will be required to manage the key steps involved in the completion of a transaction from the commencement of the bid to completion of the sale
• In the event that the Head of the EMEA team is not available, the Assistant Vice President will function as the Deputy.
• Responsibilities include: Analyzing the potential market demand for the prospective client- transaction, pitching the potential transaction structure and pricing to the market, Structuring credit offers including those relating to bullet term loan-revolving credit facilities (or any combination that includes different tranches)
• Role involves providing the borrower with a range of options and product suggestions that meet their requirements and market liquidity taking into account the capital markets environment and defining the syndication strategy, performance of the liquidity analysis and initial preparation of a bank list and deal timetable. Expanding the investor coverage list and providing information packages
• Role involves originating deals- executing and syndication the deals
The Candidate
• Successful candidate must have AVP or VP level experience in syndications across preferably project finance, capital markets, loans or leveraged products
• Candidate must demonstrate considerable deal experience and ability to syndicate transactions for clients and investors
• Ability to work well in a small team with a high level of responsibility and authority and work well under pressure as the deal flow on the small team is high
• Strong communication skills- credit skills- client facing skills important
• Candidate will be involved in a diverse range of deals across many different product areas and must have the maturity to be credible in front of clients and liaise daily with other product teams within the bank
• Any European languages a plus
