Deputy Team Head

1) The role entails working in conjunction with the Head of Team in the Provision of leadership and day to day management for a team of Compliance professionals, whilst providing expertise in Compliance matters for specified tasks or projects; and

2) Assisting local business management to identify, assess, mitigate, manage, advise and or report on Compliance risks. (Note this is a proactive function and is not limited to advice or counselling services only).

• Identification of compliance risks and the provision of solutions and methods to detect, prevent, mitigate, and or respond to such risks.

• Analyse and report on trends and regulatory developments to ensure Compliance services provided by the team remain current with changes to the business or relevant laws and regulations.

• Together with the Head of Team, provide leadership to team members through the development of their knowledge and skills, providing coaching training and support and feedback as appropriate.

• Ensure the establishment of adequate processes for timely and accurate reporting to senior management of significant compliance risks.

• Ensure the delivery of appropriate guidance and advice in respect of compliance regulations and their application to internal clients.

• Development of appropriate policies for the control and mitigation of Compliance and reputational risks arising from the operation of the business to facilitate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• In conjunction with the Head of Team, management and optimisation of resources, including talent development and succession planning - acting as an additional manager in core process

• Ensure that processes, deliverables and responsibilities are fully aligned with strategic priorities.

• Proactively identify value-added solutions and then develop and implement change initiatives where appropriate.

• Day to day supervision of the team in the delivery of Policy and Advisory Core services

• Acting as Deputy to the Head of team.
