Derivative Middle Office Analyst
Cash Equities Operations is provide the strong support to the business in all Asia markets. The key functions within Cash Equity Operations are Trade Support, Settlement Clearing, Reference Data, Risk Control and Project Management.
You will;
- Set up operational best practices and procedures to support traders.
- Establish controls and reconciliation procedures on new flows with a view to ensuring trade capture is complete and accurate from front to back.
- Work in close partnership with traders to help resolving execution or risk position queries.
- Coordinate and participate in UAT (User Acceptance Test) for Cash Equity. Liaise with Project managers and Ops users to put down users’ requirement and to develop UAT / Parallel Test plans and scenarios. Help IT Project Manager to develop a project schedule with input from user's side. Initiate discussions or projects and brainstorm ideas with a view to improving work flow.
- Main contact point for traders. Resolve queries due to mis-booking, static set-up and p/l issues.
- Ensure daily routines are running smooth and escalate for potential risky and important issues.
- Be control focused and mindful of break root cause analysis. Be creative, automate with a view to minimizing manual processing as much as possible.
- Perform cash projection and work with traders and treasury support to ensure sufficient funding is set aside to meet market commitments.
- Develop a business requirement for new procedures by compiling all functionality to be implemented.
Position requirements;
- Experience: 3-5 years' gained in the equity trade support middle office environment.
- Knowledge of product control, accounting and finance would be an advantage.
- Experience dealing with traders is required.
- Strong communication and written skills Able to work under pressure, with the ability to prioritize work rapidly according to risk.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel or Visual Basic would be beneficial.
- Education: Degree or above.
- Language: Fluent English.
