Derivatives Business Analyst recruitment
Applicants will need to have knowledge in the following areas:
• Experience within an Investment Management or similar business as a Business Analyst.
• Expertise in Derivatives particularly around OTC products including Interest Rate Swaps / Inflation Swaps / Equity Swaps / Asset Swaps / Credit Default Swaps and Index Options.
• Basic understanding of OTC pricing and valuation methodologies.
• A good understanding of SQL coupled with strong Excel skills to allow detailed data analysis when required in the project life cycle.
• A good understanding of data and workflow.
• Ability to face off to key Business areas (Front Office / Investment Risk / Quantitative Operations / Middle Office and IT Derivative Trade Applications support team) when determining business requirements / implementing Business solutions. Emphasis on:
o Building effective relationships within and across these key teams who will have extensive experience in the relevant subject matter.
o Being able to work with incomplete information when determining business solutions taking into account relevant dependencies, timing and constraints.
• Ability to produce detailed business requirements and functional specifications when needed to support project processes and meet project office delivery requirements.
• Development competence and experience of the full projects development lifecycle including processes, methods, controls and standards.
Advantageous
- Detailed knowledge of OTC instrument pricing
- Knowledge of Algorithmics ARA / Riskwatch, Xenomorph, Cadis and Qlikview.
- Experience using Bloomberg to conduct analysis around new derivative product deliverables and occasional BAU pricing investigation tasks.
