Derivatives Operations Analyst recruitment

Major Responsibilities could include:

· Oversee trade matching with counterparties for inclusion in the funds unit price

· Responsible for communication with the Fund Administrator/Portfolio Managers of any unconfirmed trades and potential impact to the unit pricing process

· Responsible for ensuring unmatched trades for settlement are matched and failing trades followed up and logged in fail tracker

· Responsible for ensuring PM's start of day cash and holding positions are accurate, investigate any issues and communicate any issues

· Responsible for instructing FX settlements with Prime Broker

· Responsible for investigating on any FX Broker Claims

· Responsible for instructing the lender and custodian of any borrow trades

· Collateral Management functions, including lifecycle and upfront payments, monitoring daily collateral requirements, updating Aladdin, ensuring transfers are made, monitoring monthly interest

· Responsible for checking and approving all cash instructions above $10 million

· Ensure overdrawn accounts are investigated, resolved and escalated

· Ensure monthly overdraft interest is reconciled (signed off) and operating errors completed if necessary

· Responsible for new security setups and mapping in Aladdin/Administrator

· Responsible for new brokers setups including Aladdin and Alert for SSI's

· Responsible for the onboarding of new accounts as part of the trade role

· Investigate and solve any queries relating to Trades with custodians, portfolio managers and cash reconciliation's team

· Maintain and update operational procedures and ensure appropriate compliance.

· Identify any key risk areas or opportunities for process improvements with the local and offshore model

· Where appropriate cross-train or share your knowledge with local and offshore colleagues

· Establish and maintain professional and effective internal and external relationships with all clients/counterparties.

Person Specification:

Technical Skills:

· Intermediate use of Microsoft Office including Word Excel

· Knowledge of Aladdin a valuable advantage

Qualifications/ Experience:

· Tertiary qualifications desirable

· Experience working in the financial services industry - Trade related experience required

· Have a good general knowledge of investment products.
