Design Drafter (ProE and AutoCad)
This is a temporary position of undetermined length. Job Description: Design interconnect harnesses, route cables, create drawings. My be asked to develop other types of mechanical designs and create drawings. Required Skills: 15 years experience in design and development of cable assemblies, including routing, layout and drawing generation. Good general mechanical design experience required. Desired Skills: Superior knowledge of drawing requirements/guidelines. Working knowledge of asme specifications related to drawings/documentation. Working knowledge of GDT per ASME y14.5m. Must be proficient in all standard ProE modules, in addition to pro-cable. Able to provide design solutions from initiation through the completion of the documentation package. Required Education (including Major): Associate's degree in electro-mechanical drafting or equivalent experience. Special Requirements: Outstanding design aptitude, specifically with cable assemblies. Proficient with ProE and Pro-cable modules used to generate harness designs and associated engineering drawings. Ability to work directly with engineering personnel and independently to initiate design models.
