Description:
Volt is seeking an experienced Design Engineer. As a Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design of a variety of aircraft products ranging from bins, galleys, lavatories, ceiling panels or seats used in commercial and private aircrafts using a computer aided drafting system and support existing designs of products which are manufactured on site. Will evaluate cost and weight of designs to ensure the design is producible based on regulatory requirements, customer and company specifications. Must have strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Catia V5. Must have a Bachelors of Science in Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or related field along with 8 or more years of experience. Along with a strong understanding of aircraft trim and finish practices, basics of airworthiness requirements for passenger aircraft, and mechanical systems and strengths of materials. Composite experience is a plus.
