A top investment bank in the West End of London is urgently looking to recruit a desktop and infrastructure support analyst to join their four person team. My client has a number of business areas including investment banking and investment management and requires someone who can cope with supporting traders and portfolio manager in a trade floor environment.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
* Supporting traders and other business users with desktop issues
* Support Microsoft Windows 2008 servers
* Support VMware virtual servers
* Cisco routing and switching support and maintenance
* Supporting firewalls - WatchGuard
You will need to show the ability to prioritise support issues with any support requests from traders being the first priority. Pace is key to being successful in this role as any desktop issues could result in the loss of trading ability which can come at a great cost to the business.
There will also be extensive project work to get involved with and you will help with software/application roll-outs and other infrastructure and desktop technologies.
To be considered for this role you must have the following skills and experience:
* A background in financial services support at a bank or other financial organisation
* Windows server built, support and maintenance experience
* Basic Cisco networking experience - routing and switching
* Firewall experience - ideally WatchGuard
* SAN storage experience - ideally HP
* The ability to work on a busy trade floor, prioritising support issues and ensuring quick issue resolution is achieved
