Development Manager – Finance IT – Investment Bank recruitment
Oppotunity for a Senior Development Manager to join a Finance IT team in London. You will be responsible for technical delivery and will work closely with the vendor Development team, Architecture Lead, the Delivery/Domain Manager and the Quality Assurance Lead in order to form a project team and deliver solutions to the internal clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Project management throughout life cycle, including project initiation and launch/hand over into production.
Ensure ongoing commitment of all stakeholders using effective stakeholder management practices.
Demand management and change request management in conjunction with business solutions and business counterparts.
You will be required to establish appropriate governance structures and processes to drive and manage the project.
Ensure adherence of technical deliveries to strategic architecture and design and prevailing standards around coding, security etc
Management of vendor delivery teams
Regular formal status reporting.
Provide risk and issue management and resolution.
Financial management: track costs to deliver agreed outcomes and service-level within budget (including financial forecasting).
Be the main contact for project delivery and own overall delivery responsibility to client.
The successful candidate will have:
Extensive experience of working in the Financial Services industry with a focus on finance systems (preferably in the general ledger/sub ledger domain).
Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability to interface and converse with clients at all levels.
Good project management experience, focusing on management and coordination of requirements, the development process, as well as managing the financial aspect of a project.
Experience in agile methodology and a Prince 2 or PMI certification would be seen as advantage.
Experience for managing a team is also a requirement.
Oracle, Java and JRules experience would all be an advantage but not essential.
