DEVELOPMENT MANAGER recruitment

Location:

Thailand and Singapore

Roles:

Provide leadership and guidance to the developers and ensures proper expertise and support is available through design, build and test support.  The role is accountable for the progress of development against the project plan and will assist with risk and scope management of deliverables.  The individual will work jointly with project managers to certify software and development activities.

Responsibilities:

• Governs the application solution design to ensure it meets the agreed architecture.

• Lead the technical analysis, design and development, and ensure that the solution fulfill the requirements.

• Ensure resolution of architectural issues jointly with Architecture Lead, and design the flow and sequencing of events within the integrated solution across the Touchpoint suite of applications with the Host systems.

• Act as design authority for application technical related issues.

• Identify commonalities in the application components, and Identify cross-team dependencies early in the project life cycle.

• Oversee resources in the preparation of project work plans in coordination with other Project Managers and Team leads. Manage plan dependencies.

• Provide input to budgets and risks against the project plan and related schedules.

• Track progress of project through the phases he is responsible for.

• Deliver weekly status reports against Project plan, schedule and deliverables.

• Facilitate project meetings with team members

• Ensure resources and appropriate expertise are available.

• Responsible for producing a quality system to the users agreed requirements.

Experiences:

• Sound experience in development, and architecture

• At least 8 years of experience in managing large development teams across multiple locations

• Experience in end-to-end development life-cycle

• Experience with iterative software development life-cycle methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, SCRUM, Test Driven Development, etc.

• Experience with Unix, Linux, DB2, JBoss, Apache technologies, Agile, SCRUM.
