About the role
To compliment the continual growth of Macquarie Leasing and support business strategy we are seeking a proven sales professional to lead the team and drive the growth of the Macquarie leasing direct sales business.
Direct Sales Team is an inbound/outbound phone based sales team that promotes products including: - finance leases, chattel mortgage, commercial hire purchases and consumer loans for motor vehicles and other income producing plant and equipment.
You will have a passion for results, providing exceptional sales solutions for our clients in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for identifying client prospects and developing business leads.. Additionally you will be providing financial product information with a view of converting each call, lead, marketing campaign and referral into new business.
The successful candidate will be leading the sales team and developing business to business relationships. Key responsibilities will include people management, coaching, communication/relationship management, client satisfaction, compliance, management reporting and process improvements. You will also:
- Manage the direct sales team (12 pax) to operate and sell in a fashion that exceeds business targets while embracing Macquarie's values
- Lead, mentor and coach the direct sales team, whilst ensuring the team act in the best interests of the client
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan
- Drive individual and team sales revenue, profit targets and KPI's
About You
You will have a proven sales track record gained in financial services, with previous experience leading and mentoring a sales team. Your passion and enthusiasm will help drive the team to succeed and achieve profit targets. You will also have:
- A high degree of motivation and professionalism, with an extremely goal-oriented, 'hunter' attitude
- Exposure to commercial credit underwriting principles
- Tertiary qualified in finance related discipline preferred
- Solution focused with ability to analyse complex problems
- The ability to drive individual performance whilst promoting a team culture
