Leading Investment Bank is looking for a Director with a solid background in Equity IPV / Valuations / Equity Derivatives Product Control to work in a specialist function within global valuations managing a team of VP AVP in London and Off Shore
The function is responsible for the governance of reserving and independent price verification, as well as inputting into the model approval process and the assessment of valuation uncertainty.
The role will involve frequent liaison with Front Office Trading, Finance Directors as well as consultation with Market Risk Management, Model Risk Analytics and the Accounting Policy Advisory Group, as appropriate.
You should possess strong product knowledge in Equities. This must include an understanding of both theoretical model related valuation issues as well as practical issues faced in implementation including current market practice. Experience of the IPV ,including the price-testing and reserving of unobservable or illiquid valuation parameters, i.e. the need for a pragmatic approach that can bridge the gap between theory and practice, producing a quantification of the valuation uncertainty.
You will provide support and recommendations to the business and senior members of the Bank and Front Office
Have an excellent academic record 1st Class Degree, MSc or PHD and a certificate in Quantitative Finance or other financial mathematics qualification would be a plus.
