I am currently working with a leading, blue chip film and television media business to assist them with a key senior hire. This is a highly commercial opportunity, which is integral to the growth strategy of the firm.

You will be focusing on their affiliate distribution business, which has continued to grow at a fast rate on an international scale. Following this growth the business now wants to be in a strong position to be able to review, analyse and track the performance of the affiliate distribution business and understand the key and relevant dynamics. They therefore want someone who can develop this culture and lead the business at being better at analysis, pricing, renewals.

There are essentially two key parts to this role. Firstly you will need to develop the business intelligence capabilities within the business and identify the key metrics, which are essential to analyse and track. The second part will then be focused on how this information is used and will give you the opportunity to truly partner the business to influence the strategy, forecasting revenue and mapping pipeline business opportunities effectively develop more of a structured and commercial approach to pricing and tracking contract renewals.

I am therefore looking for a driven and forward thinking individual with strong analytical and strategic experience. You will need to either have worked in a large consultancy business or potentially initially trained in finance. I will be looking for clear evidence in your current and recent experience that shows where you have used your analytical and critical thinking skills in a commercial role. You will need to be working in a large business (ideally FMCG, Media or distribution) and be able to highly how you have added value to the business by enhancing business intelligence and using management information to influence decisions.
