Systems Accountant: Lead the systems implementation project for a London Law Fir

This is an opportunity to lead a finance systems implementation as a leading mid-tier law firm upgrades their finance system. This client has offices throughout Europe and as an award winning law firm prides itself on delivering a bespoke service to our clients. They have ranked in both Chambers and Legal 500 directories and offer a wide range of legal services to their clients which include both SME's and multinationals.

The Finance Team costs of five (qualified and part qualified) who have been with the business for a substantial period of time. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with other finance colleagues, IT and business development members on the implementation of the finance elements of this project. Whilst there is a large scope of responsibility and ownership of the project the reporting line is directly into the the Finance Director.

Initially the role will involve developing a process map of the current finance system and talking to the business to understand what the process should look like. It will then include the data migration, reconciliation and testing to the set project plan before developing the reports and analysis for the management team.

I am looking for candidates who have proven experience in implementation of new practice management software or a new financial system either within a law firm or professional services company. This will include process mapping (as is and to be,) data cleansing, migration and testing and then the delivery of training to staff and partners. The "softer" skills are critical for this job to be able to encourage the team to "buy in" to the new system. Lastly the candidates must demonstrate strong project planning and management skills.
