Laureate Global Products and Services is the online and U.S. campus-based group of Laureate Education, a leading international provider of higher education services. Our institutions include Walden University, a distance learning institution of higher education based in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the University of Liverpool based in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Kendall College, a leading higher education institution of culinary arts and hospitality management based in Chicago, Illinois; NewSchool of Architecture and Design, based in San Diego, California; Santa Fe University of Art and Design, an institute of art and design, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and The National Hispanic University, based in San Jose, California.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Laureate Education, Inc. is currently engaged in a project for renovation and expansion of IT infrastructure and system integration technology worldwide. As part of this endeavor, Laureate will be integrating its communication technologies to foster a global platform for messaging and collaboration.

The Director of Global Technology Messaging Collaboration (TMC) position will be required to implement and oversee a global technology messaging and Integrated Active Directory architecture, allowing all Laureate institutions to seamlessly collaborate among one another.

This position will also be responsible for overseeing and supporting global IT messaging operations across all Laureate Institutions as they are integrated into the global messaging network. This position will act in conjunction and as a partner with the existing LGPS IT Operations team.

Existing experience in global IT operations is essential to understand current state of each institution's messaging infrastructure, and how each institution will transform to the new cloud based Office 365 platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
' Oversee a team of senior Microsoft System Engineers responsible for implementing the global messaging / directory platform.
' Overall responsibility for ensuring on-time, on-budget integration of each institution into the Laureate messaging framework.
' Build and manage a team to integrate each institution's messaging solution into the Laureate global messaging network.
' Provide day-to-day leadership and decision making on critical issues as they pertain to scope, value, schedule, budget, methodology and resources within context of both the integration projects, as well as global messaging IT operations.
' Influence business and technology stakeholders and team members in order to get buy-in on decisions that will lead to the success of critical projects.
' Manage 3rd party vendors as an integral part of the project team's activities.
' Responsible for directing and managing within a dynamic cultural and challenging environment, working inclusively through people to achieve shared objectives.
' Provide updates to the Snr. Director of Global IT Architecture regarding progress on projects and operations of each institution with respect to being integrated into the Laureate Global Technology Messaging framework.

' Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience required and at least 6 years of experience in enterprise IT operations.
' MCSE or relevant MCITP or MCTS certifications are highly desired
' Process and technical knowledge of Enterprise level messaging and collaboration systems.
' Extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010
' Experience with PowerShell
' Extensive experience with Active Directory architecture, design, security and management
' History with on-time, on-budget delivery of IT projects scoped within context of integrating Enterprise Email systems.
' Excellent written and communication skills
' Strong change management and negotiation skills with ability to work within a matrix-run organization.
' Strong change management and leadership skills, and the ability to apply them to implement new systems and redesign work, are required.
' Experience managing 3rd party vendors and integrating part of the project team's activities.
' Business savvy and orientated, relationship management and experience leading and mentoring individuals within the environment.
' In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a high degree of personal integrity and strong work ethic and be proficient in delivering sustained results in a matrix infrastructure.
' Experience in directing and managing within a dynamic and challenging environment, working inclusively through people to achieve shared objectives.
' Experience in developing and deploying best practices, policies, procedures and processes. Excellent written, verbal and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills
' Will require international travel as needed up to 30-50%.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
' BA/BS in Information Systems Management, related degree, or comparable experience

LICENSURE and/or CERTIFICATION
' PMP Certification is a plus
