Department Overview:
The role is based within the Business Relationship Management group in Milan, providing tactical marketing and business development support to an assigned product group.
Reporting to the Head of Business Relationship Management in Italy, this experienced and motivated individual will be responsible for planning, leading and executing the relationship and commercial activity in Italy.

Reporting to the Head of Business Relationship Management in Italy, this experienced and motivated individual will be responsible for planning, leading and executing the relationship and commercial activity in Italy.
The candidate will be responsible for generating new rating mandates through consistent and targeted marketing activities.
The candidate will focus mainly on Structured Finance, Project Finance and Public Finance sectors in Italy, but he/she is also expected to support the team efforts in generating new rating mandates with Corporates and Banks, if needed.
This role offers the opportunity for the candidate to work within an ever-changing and dynamic business environment. From the outset the individual will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, with excellent opportunities for self and career development.
The role involves some Italian, and occasionally European, based travel. The individual will work closely with the relevant analytical teams in Milan to prioritise and execute on outreach activities. The candidate will also liaise with BRM colleagues in London, and the EMEA office network to coordinate market interaction.
Person Specification:
- This role requires detailed understanding of the Debt Capital Markets and experience of the Structured Finance, Public Finance markets and Project Finance marketplace, ideally gained from an origination or advisory role.
- In depth knowledge of rating and rating services
- An understanding of corporate credit analysis would also be an advantage.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills, verbal and written in Italian and English, and be able to communicate at a senior level.
- A proven track record to persuade and negotiate effectively
- Strong marketing and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite with a successful track record of developing commercial relationship and opportunities.
- Able to work independently within a strategic framework whilst maintaining high work standards and show excellent attention to detail
- Team oriented, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and experience of Bloomberg, Reuters and Bondware useful
- University degree, preferably in a business-related discipline
- Other professional or business qualification (e.g. Masters’ degree, MBA)
