Opportunity to join a specialist treasury coverage team within SME MM Financial Markets, to manage the anticipated increase in litigation cases following the commencement of the SME Derivatives review.
The role of this specialist team will be to review the file, working closely alongside key partners in Compliance, Legal associated Business Units to conclude the most equitable solution.
Skills/key accountabilities
Consideration will be given to individuals with a comprehensive appreciation of corporate finance, credit process, lending criteria, (distressed) legal process, ideally with experience within BSU.
Individuals would be expected to be CF30 qualified.
Ability to manage relationships with numerous stakeholders both internally and externally
Experience in managing corporate (lending) relationships
Excellent organisational skills are required given the anticipated time pressures that will be imposed by the process, with an understanding of where value can be added
Strong excel skills
Derivative sales and structuring experience, ideally with a skew towards interest rate derivatives
Experience of dealing with complaints and difficult negotiations, ideally with a track record of experience in litigation, mediation, and legal process
Collegiate approach is required. Working closely with colleagues in this small team and delivering together is essential for success in this role
Ability to opine on case files, present recommended solutions to panel, based upon sound (approved) business principles, ensuring the Banks best interests are protected at all times
