Director
The Role
- Establish and implement a policy and framework for market and counterparty risk which include approval of policies through the risk committee and up to executive level
- Manage all risks inherent to the business, ultimately responsible for all; Credit, Market, Counterparty, Concentration Liquidity risks, individually managing the respective business lines below.
- Assessing new products and new markets and adapting risk policies where required.
- Have frequent interaction with ‘C’ level executives across the business on a global scale
- Liaise with the regulator relating to appropriate issues
- In conjunction with the quant teams, work closely with clearing houses in relation to margin methodologies and collateral haircuts
The Candidate
- A solid, holistic view of risk management including; Market, Credit, Counterparty, Liquidity Concentration risk with a quantitative grounding
- Previous experience working in either an Investment Bank, Brokerage or Clearing house
- Previous experience in, or at least a good understand of OTC clearing and an appreciation of the associated regulations (EMIR, Dodd Frank, MiFID etc)
- Sound understanding of fixed income (predominately FX / Rates) products
- Ability to face off to senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Previous experience managing a small and growing team ideal, although not essential
