Director, Business and Legal Affairs Job in Los Angeles 90038, California US
This position is responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on distribution and other agreements for Paramount content across digital platforms throughout the world.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Responsible for business and legal affairs functions for digital distribution of feature films and episodic content, including all phases of negotiations from term sheet to definitive agreement
* Negotiate and draft distribution and other agreements for a wide variety of digital platforms and business models, including electronic sell-through and transactional, subscription and advertiser-supported video-on-demand services
* Negotiate and draft promotion agreements and review and clear advertising and promotion materials
* Review and revise form agreements and standard terms and conditions
* Collaborate with, provide advice to and synthesize feedback from senior business, finance and marketing executives
* Conduct rights research to determine content available for distribution
* Prepare internal memoranda advising on intellectual property, contract law and other legal issues
* Maintain awareness and understanding of the latest developments in the law and technology as they relate to the digital distribution of content
* Provide legal advice and related support to the division
