Director, Business Development
NATURE OF JOB
The Sr. Director of Business Development will have the responsibility of representing the Company to direct customers in the geographic area of responsibility. The BD Director will assist in the development of and support of all Company sales programs within the territory and support the Company in all aspects of customer care. This person is accountable for developing new customer relationships while maintaining the existing customer base. The BD Director will prepare penetration plans for major accounts and process requests for quotes and order submission. The BD Director will work directly with the sales team and other members of the company to maximize revenue and strategic value. This person will also generate reports to management on opportunities/challenges while developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of customer application requirements for Viking Modular Solutions DRAM and Flash products. The BDM will act as liaison between customer and factory on all commercial issues and provide management and direction to manufacturers' reps as required. This person will be responsible for the Northwest Territory, comprised of California, Oregon, Washington and Western Canada. The incumbent in this role need to be based in the Bay Area.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
•BS Degree preferred
•10 years direct sales experience in Memory and Processor Products
•Ability to communicate technically on product related issues
•PC proficient in Windows environment
•Previous proven track record of incremental sales increases
•Ability to manage multiple customers, programs and projects
Cisco and other tier 1 account experience preferred
