Director, Commodity Product Specialist (Energy sector focus) recruitment

Our client is a leader in the Transaction Banking (TB) space and are currently seeking a Director to join their growing commodity team.

Your role will be to plan, strategize and market TB products and services to Global Commodity Corporate Segments both domestically and regionally. You will partner with internal stakeholders from TB and Origination, Credit, Trade Operations, Legal and ALM to secure cash and trade mandates and transactions.
You will also act as a leader and coach to the team to drive key performance objectives, both individually and as a team.

Key Roles Responsibilities

• To plan, strategize and effectively market and sell TB products and services (cash management and trade finance) to meet the requirements of our client base in the Global Commodity Corporate segments
• To work closely with the respective Client Relationship teams and internal business partners to provide the specialist partnership in the securing of cash management and trade finance mandates transactions.
• Increase market penetration and share of wallet for identified clients, complete working capital maps (cash + trade maps) on portfolio of clients and ensure information is updated regularly and knowledge is applied in targeted sales activities.
• Identify opportunities for new/incremental business with the bank's clients and work with relevant internal stakeholders to turn these opportunities into revenue for the bank.
• Increase client penetration and revenues for the bank by actively promoting the bank's network and product capabilities (cross sell).
• Maintain a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the bank's comprehensive integrated channels capabilities and their application to clients' needs and use this knowledge in structuring of solutions.

Qualifications Skills

• You should possess extensive and indepth direct experience in marketing/selling trade finance products to large MNC clientele.
• Those with RM experience and proven track record in cross selling transaction banking products (cash mgt and trade finance) will be at an advantage.
• The focus is also on the potential candidate's ability to work effectively within a team and strong engagement ability with internal business partners to influence positive outcomes in developing and implementing challenging solutions for customers
