This position is responsible for working with Product Managers in the Laureate Network Products and Services division to oversee the development of multilingual academic product content according to a proprietary method developed by Laureate Education. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a number of teams ' product managers, faculty, research, operations, marketing, course developers, media developers, course writers, consultants, and development vendors 'to ensure delivery of differentiated, high-quality products that meet student and institution needs across the Laureate Network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
' Work with product managers, subject matter experts, academics, and development and translation vendors to develop network-wide academic products that achieve and exceed business and academic goals.
' Assist product managers in producing detailed product specifications that align with goals and can be implemented by developers.
' Ensure quality of content and language usage in academic products.
' Refine and improve development and quality assurance processes.
' Contribute to the development of development vendor contracts and statements of work.
' Oversee the work of development vendors, collaborating with project managers to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
' Assess current products, designs and outcomes in order to determine best opportunities for increased student satisfaction and product quality.
' Assess internal capabilities, implementation timetables, and costs against value added to product from student perspective.
' Plan, recommend and gain appropriate consensus around new technologies. Prior to piloting, develop written test plans and budget with input from PD and other departments whose input and participation are required for successful pilot.
' Use planning process to gain awareness and agreement on ultimate benefits, and the definition of success.
' Hand off successful pilots to operational group. Work with internal operations and development teams to integrate new technologies into existing processes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
' 5+ years of strategic experience in new product or program development.
' Masters degree required, PhD preferred.
' Outstanding academic-level writing and quality assurance skills in English and Spanish.
' Strong interpersonal skills and history of positive results achieved collaboratively.
' Experience with formal project management disciplines (e.g., PMI) preferred.
' Experience working with higher education professionals preferred.
' University teaching experience preferred.
' Experience in curriculum development preferred.
