Fitch Ratings currently seeks a persuasive and assertive Director with capital markets experience to join our Corporate Finance Business and Relationship Management (BRM) team in New York City.  This position will be responsible for growing revenue for Fitch through promoting the value of Fitch Ratings to CFOs and other treasury staff of corporate issuers.

Responsibilities Include:

 

*Work with senior member(s) of Issuer Relationship Management Team focused on key industry sectors to:

 

*Market to CFOs (or treasury staff) in order to advocate Fitch's involvement in deal flow in all types of securities and loans and to generate new corporate rating engagements.

* Develop relationships with Corporate Finance (non-financial) issuers via regular interaction.

*Help develop marketing messages, conduct issuer-specific research, and prepare pitch books.

*Support BRM team by leading projects and initiatives as well as conducting research on the market to continue to strengthen and advance strategic messaging and activities.

*Persuasively present, through written and personal interfaces with issuers and bankers, Fitch's analytical products and services.

*Travel primarily within the Continental U.S., amount dependent on business need.

 

 

Qualifications Include:

 

*Highly motivated, results oriented self-starter; able to generate business development ideas and strategy as well as manage day-to-day execution.

*Past experience in capital markets with at least 5 years of investment banking/corporate finance experience or direct interaction in a business development role with corporate CFOs/ treasury staff, and a demonstrated record of achievement in this area.

*A proven ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.

*Understanding of capital markets and bank lending products.

*Credit skills including ability to relate ratings to pricing.

*Highly developed communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.

*Team-orientated, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.

*Bachelor's degree required – CFA and/or MBA a plus.

*Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
