Director, Credit Risk (2) recruitment
The Director, Credit Risk will help and contribute to the development of overall Credit Risk management strategy, with a strong focus on Portfolio Management growth strategies. Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of Portfolio Risk Management strategies (Credit Line, Pricing, Collections, Overlimit). Act as the Credit Risk Account Management team lead in cross functional projects. Represent Account Management in key business meetings. Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, especially the Operations team. Help in the coaching, mentoring and development of a team of three credit risk analysts.
Oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of superior Portfolio Management strategies, balancing risk and reward to achieve optimal portfolio profitability.
Use your ACS (Adaptive Control System) expertise to enhance and leverage Triad capabilities across all portfolio management decision areas.
Develop and update loss forecasting models and templates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, IT, Finance and Compliance in the design and implementation of new products, programs and strategies. Represent the Account Management team in cross-functional meetings, committees or project teams.
Liaise with vendors and service providers such as TSYS, FICO, and Credit Bureaus. Test, implement and leverage their tools to enhance Account Management strategies.
Contribute to the development of key reports and business cases to be presented to the Credit Risk Committee
Extract and manipulate raw data, using programming tools such as SAS, SQL, Cognos, etc to perform complex credit risk analyses and provide summarized recommendations to support Account Management and the business.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of Adaptive Control System software (ex. Triad)
- Expertise in the development and implementation of Credit Card portfolio risk strategies
- Capability to work and communicate effectively with other functional teams across the organization.
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytic skills: working knowledge of decision support tools, such as SQL, SAS, Knowledge Studio as well as MSOffice tools like Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- 5+ years experience in the credit card business,
- Private Label credit risk management experience is an asset
- Experience managing a team of Analysts is a prerequisite
- University Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance or Economics. Masters degree preferred.
This position is located in Don Mills and in March 2012 is moving near the Scarborough Town Centre.
