Developed and operated by AEG, axs is a new entertainment platform and will serve as AEG’s primary consumer brand. The first phase of axs, axs ticketing, was created in cooperation with Outbox Technologies and will provide fans the opportunity to purchase tickets directly from their favorite venues.  Additional elements will include a mobile service launching next year and a video content service recently announced as axsTV.

 

This position is full-time in Los Angeles.

 

Director Digital Marketing

The Director is a channel marketing expert who is responsible for building axs digital marketing capabilities with a focus on email, social, and mobile.  The director will build the new axs brand across all marketing touch points and drive innovation fueled by consumer insights, analytics, and an understanding of the latest technology possibilities.

 

·         Own the business objectives for investing in capabilities powered by the ticketing platform, customer database, content management, and recommendation engine.

·         Partner with IT and axs technical team to integrate technology partners and agencies to bring to life tailored customer experiences in digital channels.

·         Ensure seamless integration of all digital platforms and the flow of data from online and mobile customer transactions through marketing touch points.

·         Build an email marketing program that is driven by analytics and provides relevant offers to customers based on purchase history, clicks, and preferences.

·         Develop an ongoing social media strategy to increase customer and prospect engagement with the axs brand and its support of venue/facility clients.

·         Build out mobile/text as a core channel offering based on customer preferences.

·         Grow the axs brand through the venue roll out, implementation of campaigns, and relevant use of online display advertising and paid search marketing.

·         Lead the roll out of the marketing platform across axs’ domestic U.S. venues and partner with the Europe team on implementation and best practices sharing.

·         Build the team for ongoing campaign execution, marketing analytics, and development of new concepts and ideas across email, social, and mobile.

·         Provide thought leadership regarding search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and partner with sales on promotions and advertising opportunities.

 

Required Skills

·         7-9 years of digital marketing experience.

·         Strong ExactTarget knowledge and experience with automation and personalization of email, social, and mobile campaigns.

·         Experience with digital brands, user accounts, and customer databases.

·         Experience managing a team which executes digital marketing.

·         Affinity for rapid innovation, test and control, and analytics.
