Director – Fund Sales – Italy & SE Europe
A leading global investment manager with over $500bn in assets under management seeks a Fund Sales Director to focus on Italy and Southern Europe.
The firm now seeks a Regional Director to establish a sales strategy and expand their institutional coverage with Italian and Southern European clients. You will have full responsibility for the institutional business emanating from this territorial coverage as well as managing the relationships with these clients. Of significant importance is the growth of new client business in order to increase AUM and broaden their presence within Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the institutional sales effort across Italy and Southern Europe
• Establish and develop sustained relationships with institutional clients to enhance AUM within EMEA
• Oversee the marketing approach to institutional clients and prospects
• Lead on all technical queries and arrangements with sophisticated institutional clients.
• Provide ongoing updates to the client-base on the market, strategies for investment and current approach, operational processes and updating on performance of specific mandates and products;
• Adhere to the standards set out by the local regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with client investment guidelines
• Act as an intellectual contributor and a trusted advisor to our prospects and clients
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience of institutional sales coverage across Italy and Southern Europe
• The ideal candidate will need to be highly skilled in the field of institutional sales, with strong relations already established within the region
• Proven track record in acquiring assets working with institutional clients across Italy and Southern Europe
• Proven ability of servicing clients to enhance relations
• Strong academic background, MBA /MSc supplemented with a CFA preferred
• Experience in selling equity, fixed income and UCITS strategies
• Commitment to the philosophy and process underlying Dimensional’s investment approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches, and key selling points in a clear and compelling manner
• Fluent in English and Italian, Spanish would also de desirable
