Our client is a leading global bank offering retail and corporate banking services to global institutions. Global Transaction Banking and Trade Services are one of the key products for corporate customers and the business is growing these segments in Asia.
The role
They are looking for a Director to manage Middle Markets' transaction banking products. You will;
- Report to the Head of MM, Transaction Banking and focus on Middle Markets Corporates.
- This position is required to drive Cash and Trade solutions to MM’s Corporates in order to grow the Hong Kong business
- Assist and develop less senior TB sales on complex solutions
- Work closely with other corporate banking teams to achieve further product penetration and develop new solutions.
In addition you will;
- Actively identify potential clients and opportunities within MM segment, focusing on new pipeline development, deal closures and revenue as well as to work with existing clients to identify new revenue streams.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the clients, providing them with innovative solutions and value-added services offered by the bank. Other focus areas will be on customer satisfaction and sales effectiveness improvement.
- Work with the business units on client strategies, cross-selling opportunities and account management.
- Compliance – Sales Process Guideline Policy: To compile with the group internal guideline and policy in executing selling process including origination, follow up, closure, handover and on-going sales management.

Individuals must possess;
- A university degree
- Minimum of a decade of experience in a Product Sales or Relationship Management role within Trade Finance and Cash Management from Corporate Banking / Transaction Banking
- Demonstrated success and track record in a Sales function
- Strong Trade Finance products knowledge
- Working knowledge of Cash Management and Credit Analysis
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English and Cantonese, Mandarin is preferred
- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail
