Department overview
The global team supports Markit’s core data products, including the Markit CDS pricing service, Markit Loans Pricing service, and Structured Finance Pricing services. The team also manages the Markit CDX and Markit iTraxx family of indices, which are some of the most actively traded products in the credit derivatives market. In addition, the team also supports Markit’s CDS clearing and CDS compression services, as well as, the administration of Credit Event and Environmental Auctions.
Duties accountabilities
Manage the London based operations of several credit pricing products, including Syndicated Loans, CDS, Bonds, and ABS.
Overseeing the operations of Markit’s strategic CDS clearing and compression platforms.
Working on projects that generate revenue by improving operational efficiency and enhancing our product offerings.
Manage analyst hiring for London based operations across contributed pricing products
Business competencies
Education and experience
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Experience with end-to-end data flows and valuations processes
• Experience with process design and management
• An operations related background is advantageous
• Prior experience in the Credit Default Swap Market is desired
• Prior experience working with financial data a plus
• An operations related background is advantageous
Commercial awareness
• Ability to understand business objectives and focus and prioritize multiple projects
Management requirements
• Proven management experience is required.
