Position Overview

Directs organizations enterprise-wide information systems, data collection, analysis, reporting functions, and EHS compliance audit. Develops, implements, and manages programs, policies and procedures to meet business objectives. Responsible for maintenance of safety, claims, litigation, and location records. This position manages people.

Responsibilities

- Develops enterprise-wide EHS audit, information systems, data collection, analysis, and reporting strategy
- Leads enterprise-wide RMIS function
- Leads enterprise-wide EHS compliance audit function - develop tools/protocols / assign / schedule / perform / track audits and corrective actions.
- Develops enterprise policies/procedures
- Identify/develop best practices through benchmarking
- Employ Six Sigma methodology and analytics to accomplish EHS business objectives.
- Evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data in order to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Define data requirements; Analyze and interpret statistical data in order to identify trends and key areas of opportunity, applying judgment and statistical tests.
- Manage Vendor Relationship.
- Provide technical support to business units and other functions
- Ultimate accountability for vendor management of contracts in excess of $1 million

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (Masters Preferred)
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification; CSP a plus
- 10+ years experience in large, dispersed company
- 7+ years EHS experience and at least 2 years applying six sigma methodology to EHS problems
- Broad experience in EHS management systems and regulatory management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office required
- Demonstrated success in developing audit protocols
- Broad knowledge of Federal and State OSHA and safety management systems
- Strong planning, analytical and influencing skills
- Strong business/financial acumen
