POSITION SUMMARY: With comprehensive knowledge of labor relations, this position provides direct labor relations leadership and business support to field management by implementing effective labor and employee relations strategies; negotiating collective bargaining agreements; handling grievances and arbitrations; managing representation campaigns; conducting training; and communicating labor relations philosophy and policies. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary. Responsible for collective bargaining including serving as chief negotiator or supervising outside counsel. Manages representation campaigns, elections and related matters. Ensures the effective implementation of labor relations and positive employee relations strategies through training and partnering with internal customers. Oversees grievances, arbitrations, and other disputes. Provides labor relations advice to internal customers. Advises management regarding labor relations aspects of acquisitions and divestitures.
